Grasshoppers, Japanese Beetles

These are the two garden pests that we have the most of!

See this site to control  Grasshoppers in the garden, it requires apple cider vinegar

Since we have a pond, maybe Sara will give/sell 4 of her older ducks when she gets the new ones on May 6. Otherwise I will ask Ana for a pair.

Last year we had too many grasshoppers; I purchased a product that is organically approved called semaspore bait sold by Planet Natural. I ordered it too late, mid May, so we didn't have such good results.
For best results I should start catching, killing crickets in the Spring, when they are still babies. The chickens love them, but the chickens are a menace to the garden!
We are considering getting some guinea fowls

 What do different birds eat

Gardenes alive excellent site with lots of info including milky spores, nematodes and more to control Japanese Beatles
